Hongqibo & Nepal Partners Forge Landmark Pathway for Auto Trade & KD Assembly

Strategic Meeting Charts Course for Vehicle Imports, Manufacturing Hub, and Cross-Border E-commerce Growth

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chengdu, China – June 26, 2025 – Sichuan Hongqibo International Trade Co., Ltd. (https://hongqiboauto.com/) held a high-level strategic meeting with key Nepalese partners on June 26, 2025, marking a significant advancement in bilateral automotive trade and industrial cooperation. Chaired by CEO Mr. Zhang Wei, the meeting finalized plans for Nepal vehicle imports, advanced discussions on establishing a Knock-Down (KD) assembly plant in Nepal, and initiated collaboration on a cross-border e-commerce platform.

Driving Regional Leadership & Sustainable Growth
As a key government-supported enterprise in Sichuan Province, Hongqibo solidifies its position as a leader in China’s automotive exports. Partnering with over 20 brands and exporting to 30+ countries, the company achieved a CNY 500 million (USD ~69M) export turnover in 2024. Hongqibo is actively pursuing its 2025 target of 10,000 vehicle exports and strategic vision to become Sichuan’s premier export firm, targeting CNY 5-10 billion (USD ~690M-1.38B). Current overseas projects include active KD factory development in Uzbekistan and market expansions in Armenia, Moldova, and Dubai.

Nepal: A Strategic Partnership for Mutual Success
The meeting focused on two key initiatives for Nepal:

Accelerated Vehicle Import Program:

Government Collaboration: Mr. Bridge Wu emphasized leveraging Nepal government procurement resources and Tibetan political-economic advantages to ensure project sustainability. Operations utilizing the Tibet Bonded Zone will optimize logistics costs for Nepal-bound vehicles.

Quality Commitment: Mr. Zhang Wei underscored Hongqibo’s dedication to supplying vehicles meeting Nepal’s specific standards (including robust taxi specifications highlighted by Mr. Prabin). Initial models are under final selection (targeting July confirmation).

Infrastructure Support: H.E. Chairman Govinda acknowledged the importance of import licenses and committed to vital road infrastructure improvements.

Foundations for a Nepal KD Assembly Hub:
Recognized as the critical next phase post-trade, both parties agreed on establishing a KD manufacturing facility in Nepal. This hub will serve the domestic market and target exports to neighboring countries like India, aligning with Nepal’s industrial development goals. Hongqibo’s proven KD factory expertise, demonstrated by its Uzbekistan project, positions it ideally for this venture.

Expanding Cooperation: Trade & E-commerce Synergy
Chairman Govinda highlighted opportunities for reciprocal trade, including Nepalese agricultural and herbal exports to China. Hongqibo committed to facilitating this through Sichuan commerce channels and trade fairs. Subsequent discussions at 58.com explored developing a dedicated Nepal-China cross-border e-commerce platform, signaling broader commercial cooperation.

Commitment to Shared Success
“Today’s meeting focused on building a lasting, responsible partnership grounded in quality products, mutual respect, and shared economic growth for Nepal and China,” stated CEO Zhang Wei. Mr. Wu Junqiao emphasized establishing dedicated liaison teams for seamless execution. Hongqibo and its Nepalese partners are committed to delivering tangible export results and manufacturing milestones in the coming months.
